Inicialmente, estos sistemas permitieron a los maestros recopilar autom\u00e1ticamente las respuestas de los estudiantes a preguntas estructuradas y mostrar las estad\u00edsticas de los resultados, ya fuera num\u00e9rica o gr\u00e1ficamente (Roschelle et al., 2004). Hoy d\u00eda, la interconectividad en el aula se puede alcanzar a trav\u00e9s de una red de computadoras, calculadoras, tel\u00e9fonos celulares, tabletas u otros dispositivos tecnol\u00f3gicos. Los sistemas incluyen funcionalidades que permiten trabajar colaborativa y simult\u00e1neamente en las m\u00faltiples representaciones que proporcionan los sistemas informatizados.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Los usuarios pueden enviar la informaci\u00f3n en m\u00faltiples direcciones, ya sea desde la computadora de la maestra a los dispositivos de los estudiantes o entre los dispositivos de los estudiantes. El trabajo de un estudiante se puede mostrar a los dem\u00e1s, m\u00e1s a\u00fan, las respuestas de los estudiantes se pueden agregar en una gr\u00e1fica y desplegar en una pantalla p\u00fablica para facilitar la comunicaci\u00f3n con o entre los estudiantes (Trouche y Drijvers, 2010). De esta manera, la maestra y los estudiantes pueden capturar, organizar, analizar y mostrar las contribuciones de toda la clase o de un estudiante en particular.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Clark-Wilson (2010), Roschelle et al. (2004) y Trouche y Drijvers (2010) han investigado la interconectividad en los salones de clases de matem\u00e1ticas. Entre los resultados se encuentran que los usos adecuados de los sistemas de interconectividad proporcionaron a los maestros m\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n sobre los procesos de creaci\u00f3n de sus estudiantes lo que conduc\u00eda a intervenciones de los maestros m\u00e1s reflexivas; promov\u00edan un discurso matem\u00e1tico m\u00e1s significativo, impulsado por respuestas y pantallas compartidas; y promov\u00edan una autoevaluaci\u00f3n intencional de los estudiantes y de sus compa\u00f1eros. Por su parte, Tolboom (2012) investig\u00f3 el potencial de las redes en los salones de clases para mejorar la retroalimentaci\u00f3n de las maestras en la ense\u00f1anza de estad\u00edsticas.
