Omar Hern\u00e1ndez Rodr\u00edguez es profesor del Departamento de Estudios Graduados de la Facultad de Educaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de R\u00edo Piedras desde el a\u00f1o 2007. Trabaj\u00f3 como profesor de matem\u00e1ticas a nivel sub-graduado por 20 a\u00f1os. Posee un doctorado en Curr\u00edculo y Ense\u00f1anza de las Matem\u00e1ticas de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, una Maestr\u00eda en Ciencias con especialidad en Matem\u00e1tica Aplicada de Purdue University y una Licenciatura en pedagog\u00eda con especialidad en matem\u00e1ticas de la Universidad Pedag\u00f3gica Nacional de Colombia. Es co-autor de varias publicaciones y libros sobre soluci\u00f3n de problemas, razonamiento matem\u00e1tico, historia de las matem\u00e1ticas y sentido num\u00e9rico. Tambi\u00e9n ha sido conferenciante en los Congresos Internacionales ICME (2008), RELME (2004, 2009), Simposio Latinoamericano de Integraci\u00f3n de la Tecnolog\u00eda al aula (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012), Encuentro Colombiano de Matem\u00e1tica Educativa (2010, 2011), Teachers Teaching with Technology International Conference (2011, 2012, 2014), Primer y Segundo Congreso de Educaci\u00f3n Matem\u00e1tica de Am\u00e9rica Central y El Caribe (2013, 2017).<\/p>\n

Actualmente es el investigador principal del proyecto Developing Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge of Pre-service Math Teachers by Enhancement of a Methods Course Using Instrumental Orchestration and Lesson Study Strategies<\/em> una iniciativa colaborativa con el Programa Subgraduado de Educaci\u00f3n Matem\u00e1tica de la UPR y la Universidad de Illinois. Este proyecto se est\u00e1 implantando en la Escuela Secundaria de la Universidad y se encuentra en el segundo a\u00f1o. Al momento hemos redactado y sometido varios art\u00edculos a revistas profesionales arbitradas, algunos de los cuales ya han sido publicados.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
