The incident happened at approximately 7:25 a.m. Monday outside the resort's valet area. The Sparks Police Department chief confirmed in an an afternoon press conference that two people died at the scene, a third person died at the hospital, two others were in critical condition, and a sixth victim was taken to the hospital and has since been released. The suspect was shot by police and remains hospitalized. Police said there is no clear link between the shooter and any of the victims.
