I thought I'd buy one of these made in Korea Epiphone Casino models from the Peerless factory between 1996 - 2004 and see what I could do with it. I ended up with two instruments - one that was upgraded and didn't play well (turquoise, 1996), and one that was stock and felt like an incredible instrument (red, 2004). I decided to take Lollar P90 pickups out of the older one, completely redo the wiring, add a varitone circuit, and see if I could make some further improvements to this instrument. I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
