It takes about 2.3 miles of hiking thru the wash to get here…and the slot is only about 200-300 feet long. But it is so cool! 1️⃣ The rock walls you pass as you get to the canyon…they look a lot like The Wave. Ok…it’s not exactly the same. But you don’t need a permit to see these beauties. 2️⃣ This slot canyon is MICRO. I didn’t bring a measure tape, but I’m guessing there are some places less than 8inches wide. It was squishy…but pretty damn awesome! 3️⃣ If you run into other people in the slot, you’ll have to climb over/under each other to get thru! In other places, getting thru requires “Spider Man-ing” the wall to get by. 4️⃣ The colors live up to the hype. Stripes of light and dark red rock give the canyon its name. Leave your backpack at the opening…but bring your camera phone!
