Upscale resorts are where MGM Resorts brightly outshines Caesars Entertainment, boasting a robust lineup of Strip properties that include Aria, Vdara, Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan, Mandalay Bay, W, and NoMad at Park MGM. Caesars just has The Cromwell and Caesars Palace (which includes the Nobu Tower), both of which I describe as “trying” to be upscale, although The Cromwell is currently getting some renovation love as it becomes a Vanderpump Hotel. I also dig into the hotel renovation cadence which highlights recent room renovation projects and planned projects at The Cromwell, Aria, The Cosmopolitan, and W Las Vegas. MGM Resorts has been, and appears to be significantly more active when it comes to keeping their hotel product up to date than Caesars.
