Today we are in Las Vegas, on the Las Vegas Strip to check out an iconic hotel and casino, The Mirage! We will also check out the pool! The Mirage is a 3,044-room Polynesian-themed casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip. The resort was built by developer Steve Wynn and is owned and operated by MGM Resorts International. The Las Vegas Mirage opened it's doors in 1989 and really changed the direction and set the standard of what new hotels and casino should look like along the Las Vegas Strip. At the time, it was the most expensive and largest hotel and casino ever built. The unique 'Y' shaped building was so successful, it was later copied by the Treasure Island, Monte Carlo and Mandalay Bay.
