Like many, when they removed the construction cranes I was critical of the fact that the neck of the guitar was unfinished. But… when completed and adorned with one of the worlds most sophisticated LED lighting displays I was blown away. I frequently drive past this location and the variety of lighting sequences, styles and quality is exceptional. Often in addition to the LED display the hotel has its vertical sky beams turned on which when lit represent the guitar strings and more than make up for the lack of a neck on the guitar. They shine more than a mile up into the sky and can be seen from over 20 miles away. Even if you’re not a gambler (I’m not), I’d definitely recommend a visit to this destination if you’re in the area, it’s legitimized the Fort Lauderdale area into a world class destination.
