After we finish the 5 mile trail, we continue to Capitol Reef National Park and go off roading through Cathedral Valley, Utah to the Temples of the Sun and Moon. Zebra Canyon is one of the many hikes in Grand Staircase Escalante and was one of the highlights of our road trip. Make sure to check with the ranger station before attempting as there is always a potential of a flash flood in slot canyons. The whole Zebra Slot Canyon hike took us a few hours. Make sure to bring lots of water, especially during the summer. The whole Cathedral Valley Loop takes about 3-4 hours, but we just did the later portion that takes us to the monoliths! Make sure to have a high clearance or off-roading vehicle and plenty of emergency & backup supplies.
