Today we're going to take a look at panel mount brackets. These brackets allow you to easily secure and mount panels to a profile. They're available in both fractional and metric, and compatible across a wide range of profile series. Now the panel mount bracket comes in two styles. You have your standard style, and you have a roll-in style. Now regardless of which one you choose, your panel will need a drill-through service and a bolt to fasten to the bracket. Also, if you go with a standard bracket, you'll also need a bolt assembly to mount to your profile. More information on 80/20's machining services and hardware can be found in 80/20's product catalog. Now when it comes to installing the panel mount bracket, it really couldn't be easier. The first thing you'll do, is take your profile, take the bracket itself, and preload a T-nut and bolt into it. You'll slide it into the open T-slot and find your desired location and you'll tighten it down with your wrench. Now once you have that tightened down, we'll take our panel and line it up with the bracket and we'll feed our bolt through. Once you have the bolt in there, take your hex nut, and you'll hand-tighten that down and then you'll take a wrench and tighten it down the rest of the way. Another option you have is a roll-in bracket. This is perfect for adding on to existing projects where the end of the profile may be closed off. You simply take the bracket, and roll it into the T-slot. From there, you just take a bolt and a hex nut, and tighten down your panel. Now hopefully you found this segment on panel mount bracket helpful. For more information, visit 80/20.net and make sure to subscribe to future 80/20 videos.
