La Dra. Annette López de Méndez y el Dr. Edwin Vega ofrecieron los primeros talleres sobre investigación en el área de preparación de maestros y diversidad. La Dra. López de Méndez ofreció un taller titulado Diversity: Perceptions of teacher candidates, mientras que el Dr. Vega presentó el tema de la inclusión y las necesidades especiales. En ambas presentaciones hubo un nutrido grupo de profesores del área de educación y multiculturalismo. En la noche, la delegación de la UPR fue invitada a una Recepción de Bienvenida, auspiciada por el Presidente de la MSU y el director del Programa de Intercambio Internacional. A esta, también asistió un grupo de profesores de la facultad de Arquitectura de la Universidad de PECS en Hungría. La recepción se llevó a cabo en el Centro de Artes Visuales de la MSU. La Dra. López de Méndez dio las gracias en representación de la delegación de la Universidad de Puerto Rico.

Dr. Annette Lopez-Mendez and Dr. Edwin Vega-Milan gave the first workshops about teacher’s preparation and diversity. Dr. Lopez-Mendez workshop’s title was Diversity: Perceptions of teacher candidates, while Dr. Vega-Milan introduced the issue of inclusion and special needs. In both presentations there was a large group of professors on education and multiculturalism. At night, the UPR team was invited to a welcome reception hosted by the President of the MSU and the International Exchange Program. A group of educators from the College of Architecture of the University of PECS, Hungary, attended this event. The reception was held on the Visual Arts Center of the MSU. Dr. Lopez-Mendez thanked the committee as speaker of the UPR team.
